Cirque Dreams: Holidaze Sarasota Theatre reviews
Best night of my life!
The show was incredibly amazing, and there aren't enough words to describe it. They were all really sweet during the meet and greet, which felt like a dream come true. The band was very interactive with the audience, and I even took home a few of their items (including sweat rags haha) during the show. I was lucky to meet Ashley twice, and ended up getting his bass that he had put up for auction. After the show, he met with me, we took pictures together, and he signed the back of the bass with a special message. I've never felt so thankful and blessed in my life. Standing really close to the stage and getting phenomenal shots of the band while they performed was a VIP experience. It was the best experience of my entire life, and I recommend seeing Cirque Dreams live if you ever get the chance. You definitely won't regret it.
Rod Stewart was amazing!
One of the best concerts I've ever attended was Rod Stewart's, the consummate entertainer! A fun evening with a hugely talented man, he made this concert seem personal. The ladies, guitars, and the DRUMS - what incredible talent on stage with him! And the sax player, violinist, backup singers ... WOW! I danced in my seat for the whole show, sang my heart out, and took a trip down memory lane. It went by far too quickly... I was left wanting much more! I really laughed when Cirque Dreams had the equipment malfunction and needed the man in black to "get into his pants." He's so quick, telling folks to get their cameras going for the very funny photo op!
Bobby Weir does Jerry Garcia
"I saw in London several years ago and walked out towards the end. I am a huge fan and like many deadheads, I have seen hundreds of shows. I just do Cirque Dreams want to hear singing Jerry Garcia sung tunes all night. Cirque Dreams has a great repertoire from the G. Dead catalog. Please stick to it! The show in Louisville was another "Let's do Jerry tunes" all night show. For one, "Easy Answers" was played...Sleeper. While I love the songs that Jerry sang lead vocals for and it is nice to hear them, not all night and I came to see Cirque Dreams. The best part of the show was the "Most of the Time", "The Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion" > "The Wheel" > "Tomorrow Never Knows" > "Se帽or". Ironically, that segment included 2 Bob Dylan covers and a Beatles tune. At least during this section Steve Kimock finally exhibited some of his masterful guitar work...the rest of the show he looked ready for a nap....at least that is how he looked from the 4th row. I danced, I had fun, but musically this show was lackluster. Bobby Weir...love ya man, but please do more of your music. Would love to see set lists with stuff from your solo career included... Here's the deal."
